# XSPI Strategic Partnership Engine

Located within South Asia, Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world with a fast-growing economy. Its largest exports are clothing and textiles, and it is also a major importer of Australian cotton.

Over the years, Bangladesh has continuously strived forward with strong development outcomes. Starting out as one of the poorest nations in the world it is now likely to attain middle-income status by 2031.

For Bangladesh to stay on track it is crucial that it continues to create more jobs, build its skilled labor force, improve infrastructure and attract further private and international investment.

Bangladesh Strategic Partnership and Project Highlights

Build Bangladesh Enterprise Strategic Partnership

png

XSPI’s key post-2025 Bangladesh focus comprises its important strategic partnership with Build Bangladesh Enterprise. This provides a pathway to develop project opportunities for XSPI engagement supporting Bangladesh’s SDG priorities. Another development sector focus is the growing impact investment space in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Burns Strategy (Interplast Partnership)

png

XSPI had a strategic partnership with Interplast supporting its Bangladesh Burns Strategy by providing sector background research and analysis, then co-developing project plans in support of strategy implementation.

Women’s Empowerment & Mental Health (Sitara’s Story)

png

Through a strategic partnership with Sitara’s Story, an NGO working on women’s empowerment and mental health in Bangladesh, XSPI provided Sitara’s Story support in program strategy development and identifying project opportunities, including potential collaborations with Australian philanthropy and corporate foundations working on mental health.

World Mosquito Program (WMP) Dhaka Pilot

png

XSPI expanded its Indonesian WMP strategic partnership. In Bangladesh, XSPI supported WMP to identify pilot project opportunities in Dhaka where the burden of dengue fever continues to rise. XSPI created connections between WMP and Bangladesh government officials and business sector stakeholders, including potential implementation partners.
